About the Mentors

Mentor- Shrreya Shah

Shrreya Shah started ‘mydvija – reborn as a mother’ with the belief that giving birth to a child is in some way, the rebirth of the mother too. Shrreya is a mother, dietitian, pre and post-natal counsellor, childbirth educator and yoga and pranayama trainer with a postgraduate degree in Fitness Management. Her initial inspiration struck at the age of 14 when she witnessed sonography at a science exhibition for the very first time. Amazed at the ability of a mother’s womb to create, nourish and bring a human baby into this world, she hoped to work in a field with expectant mothers. Shreya’s dream was realised through a LAMAZE Childbirth Education certification course in Mumbai. Since then, through her passion and enthusiasm, she has been working with couples with the primary aim to create awareness and spread knowledge. She advocates that every woman should be in a position to make well-informed decisions with clarity. She hopes to instil confidence and strength in pregnant women, preparing them to handle the journey of childbirth including labour and opt for only necessary medical interventions. Shrreya’s coaching involves games, activities and discussions to create a fun and positive learning environment for couples. Her two daughters have been a source of constant inspiration, motivating her to reach out to more women through her work as the founder of mydvija – reborn as a mother.

Program Structure

This two Hrs long session revolves around three main aspects:

Eating (Diet)

A well-balanced nutritional diet can help in effective conception. Through this session, our goal is to provide couples with clarity of vision and information to feel truly ready to effectively conceive.

Moving (Exercises)

Exercising is a key element to a healthy and effective conception. Even before conception, we lay a lot of importance on exercising from both parents to facilitate a better response from ovaries and sperm. Yoga and simple exercises are advised to aid hormonal balance, improve blood circulation and uterine health.

Being (Lifestyle)

Preparing your life is the first step for healthy and effective conception. One’s lifestyle is a crucial factor and should be deeply scrutinized well before pregnancy. For instance, one’s lifestyle has a direct impact on the quality of sperm and egg while stress and desperation might reduce the chances of conception. In such cases, small alterations to one’s lifestyle can go a long way for both parents. We share small and practical tips to prepare the ideal holistic lifestyle – benefiting you and your future baby.

Is it ok if only one parent attends?

We recommend the attendance and involvement of both parents. But if it’s not possible, one willing parent can actively take part while the partner can passively support.

Will this program be helpful if I am under medical help for conceiving (like IUI or IVF)?

Yes. As these are non medical tips & tricks to improve uterine lining, sperms health and egg health. 

Can this program help me to improve my response to the medical treatment that I am undergoing or going to start?

Yes. As it helps to improve blood circulation, uterine health as well sperm health. In a broader sense it compliments your ongoing treatment and improves its response .

I have read a lot about conceiving process. How would this program be helpful for me?

The simple to do and not to do lists in the program will definitely make you feel peaceful at the end apart from all the knowledge you might have gained on the topic by now which sometimes could be overwhelming.

We have just started thinking about baby and no test or anything is done. How could this program help?

The program helps you with understanding how you can balance your hormones. Combined with details on a balanced diet and exercises, it will help you to better your chances of a healthy  conception. 

Will this program suggest medicines?

No. It covers non medical aspects of improving response to the ongoing treatments like diet, lifestyle and exercises. This program does not claim any replacement to medicines or ongoing treatments.
